A MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION IN SUPPORT OF THE REFERENDUM AND IN HOUNORING ITS OUTCOME
Thursday, 12 August 2010 20:27
The SPLM UK & Ireland in alliance with Darfur Union, Nuba Solidarity Abroad and South Sudanese Civil Societies Organisations- call on all the South Sudanese and the marginalised and peace loving people of Sudan and their friends to attend a demonstration in front of 10 Downing Street (nr the House of Common) on Saturday the 14th August 2010 at 12 PM. We will call on the British Government to use its influence on the National Congress Party (NCP) to:

* Ensure that the South Sudan referendum is carried out on time
* Stop the policies of resettling the Messerya Arabs in Abyei Area in blatant disregard to the ruling of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at the Hague
* Ensure the full implementation of Abyei's Protocol
* Ensure that Popular Consultation for Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile should be carried out as stipulated by the Comprehensive Peace Agreement
* Bring Peace to Darfur through negotiating with all the Darfurians' Movements
*

We will also call on the British Government to recognised an independent Southern Sudan if and when such an option is chosen during the referendum.

Please come, bring a friend(s) and pass the information on.
See you there.
